AngloGold Ashanti, a global gold mining company, is seeking a Senior Specialist Controllership in Johannesburg. The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, group accounting compliance, and strengthening governance.

You will lead SOX, ICFR remediation, and coordinate audits while driving SAP/HFM integrations and standardizing financial models across entities to support the One Finance vision. As part of Finance Governance, you will partner with cross-functional teams to resolve complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
• Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification.
• 3 years in the mining industry and/or related fields including corporate reporting and financial accounting.

Responsibilities

• Manage General Ledger entries and complex reporting calculations across Metals, ORD and Environmental.
• Coordinate monthly financial pack uploads into HFM and ensure US GAAP/IFRS alignment.
• Support SOX compliance deliverables and remediation of ICFR deficiencies.
• Draft statutory financial statements and coordinate audit working papers with internal and external auditors.
• Collaborate with Africa Shared Service Centre, FBP teams and technical units to resolve accounting issues.
