Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer

Job Summary

As a Control and Instrumentation Engineer, you will lead the control and instrumentation aspects across several turnkey projects throughout Africa. You will provide control-specific insights during the conceptual stage to facilitate accurate budgeting and planning. Additionally, you will assess existing processing plants and software to offer automation solutions to clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide technical consulting services to customers.
2. Design and produce engineering solutions for asset creation at various project stages.
3. Experience with PLC and SCADA systems, including programming.
4. Develop process flow diagrams (PFD) and preliminary P&ID diagrams.
5. Prepare construction documents for water systems.
6. Manage construction or field engineering for water systems.
7. Design and layout control systems for plants.
8. Resolve on-site problems proactively.
9. Stay updated on instrumentation, control, telecommunication, and security equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

• B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Electrical Engineering.
• PrEng registration (ECSA or recognized body).
• Minimum 15 years' experience, with at least 5 years post-registration.
• Extensive experience in designing and constructing water infrastructure.
• Leadership and management experience in consulting.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, legal frameworks, and various software tools.
