Description : Role purpose :

The Senior Content Writer (UX and Marketing) – Vodacom Financial Services requires an experienced content strategist with a passion for creating user-centered and conversion-focused content. This role will focus on crafting clear, engaging, and sophisticated digital experiences that align with brand strategy and drive measurable results.

A deep understanding of UX principles, customer journeys, and marketing strategies is essential to create content that resonates with users and enhances overall business impact.

This position reports to the Portfolio Manager for Product Design and collaborates closely with UX design, marketing, and digital development teams to ensure content is optimized for usability and performance.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

  • Content Strategy and Brand Alignment
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy, incorporating UX writing principles to enhance user journeys and support business objectives.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand identity, campaign themes, and creative direction.

Content Creation and Management

  • Write and manage content for all marketing communications, including performance marketing adverts, emails, social media, printed collateral, press releases, and digital interfaces.
  • Craft user-centric UX copy (e.g., microcopy, error messages, CTAs) that enhances usability and guides users through intuitive and engaging experiences.

SEO, UX, and Technical Content Optimisation

  • Optimize content with SEO and UX best practices to improve discoverability, accessibility, and user engagement.
  • Conduct technical audits to maintain high-quality content across platforms and ensure alignment with user needs.

Campaign and Performance Management

  • Review and manage all marketing and UX content to ensure consistency with brand and campaign objectives.
  • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to generate innovative ideas, support campaigns, and meet both user and business goals.

Key performance indicators [max 3] :

  • Editorial and UX Writing Consistency
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce style guides, tone of voice, and UX writing guidelines to ensure a cohesive, user-centered voice across all products and touchpoints.

UX Writing Impact and Quality

  • Measure UX writing effectiveness through metrics such as user task completion rates, error reduction, and navigation time. Ensure UX copy enhances usability, accessibility, and user satisfaction.

Content and UX Workflow Efficiency

  • Establish and optimize editorial, copywriting, and UX processes to ensure efficient collaboration, consistent quality, and timely content delivery across all digital products.
