Job Overview

Our client is a global leader in creating and developing sustainable solutions within the energy sector.

They are seeking a dynamic individual to join their team in Cape Town as a Senior Consultant Solar PV. As a key member of the growing Power (Renewables) team, the Senior Consultant Solar PV will be responsible for delivering excellent Solar PV services, driving new business, and leading project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Represent the company as a leading Solar PV consultancy in the industry.
• Collaborate with Energy, Marine, and other teams to provide integrated services.
• Drive revenue growth and achieve targets.
• Lead high-quality bids, secure new work, and expand the client base.
• Manage project delivery on time and within budget, acting as Project Director or Manager.
• Develop and offer secondees or subcontractors to clients.
• Network with industry organizations and represent the company at events.
• Build and facilitate an effective team to achieve potential.

Qualifications & Experience

• BSc in engineering or relevant technical discipline; Masters preferred.
• Experience in Solar PV project development, construction, and operations.
• Chartered status or working towards it.
• Strong industry contacts, understanding of contract structures, and OEM track records.
• Proficiency in Autocad, PV Sol, or PVSyst.
• Project commissioning experience and ability to review technical designs.
• Knowledge of market parameters, standards, and new technologies in Solar PV.
• Excellent commercial, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English and strong IT skills.

Additional Advantages

• Knowledge of onshore wind, energy storage, and related standards.
• Experience as Owner's Engineer and working with IFIs.

Package & Remuneration

Remuneration: R,.00 – R,.00 CTC per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
