Gi3 (Tax Incentives) is seeking a technically-minded and intellectually curious individual to join the team in a dual-focus role that combines:

1. Assisting with Patent Box claims through patent mapping and intellectual property (IP) development support, and
2. Supporting clients with the assessment and documentation of projects eligible for R&D tax incentives.

• Support clients in mapping existing patents to qualifying products and income streams for Patent Box claims.
• Participate in IP harvesting workshops to identify and capture new IP rights.
• Collaborate with tax, finance, and legal teams to align innovation, IP strategy, and tax objectives.
• Contribute to optimizing IP portfolios for Patent Box relief.

R&D Tax Incentives – 50%

• Evaluate software and IT projects for R&D tax eligibility.
• Prepare technical documentation following HMRC guidance.
• Coordinate with tax and finance teams to link activities to qualifying expenditure.
• Stay informed on UK R&D tax legislation changes, especially regarding software and digital innovation.
• Assist clients during HMRC enquiries as needed.
