Job Purpose:

Supervise, lead and execute on delivery of system IT system audits, programme assurance and
IT advisory projects.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Supervise IT audit teams and ensure effective delivery of IT audit assignments, programme assurance engagements and IT advisory projects;
  • Deliver project planning, execution, reporting and management of Information Technology Audits – e.g. IT General Controls Reviews, IT Applications Controls Reviews, IT Governance Reviews; Project Assurance Reviews; SOX Reviews and IT Advisory Projects e.g. COBIT Assessments, IT Strategy Development/Reviews, IT Governance Implementation, IT Risk Assessments etc.
  • Lead discussions with clients and ensure IT audit team performs effective system walkthroughs, gather appropriate audit evidence and raise valid audit issues; Assess and assemble resources as necessary for IT audit, programme assurance and advisory projects;
  • Supervise and coordinate delivery of IT audits, programme assurance engagements and IT advisory projects ensuring appropriate documenting of working papers, clearing of review notes and on time submission of audit file for further review;
  • Perform 1st level review of audit work papers and evaluate audit conclusions and findings;
  • Ensure that audits are performed in line with ISACA standards and recognized information technology best practices;
  • Prepare audit procedures, risks and controls in relation to IT processes, business processes and project domains which includes documenting of a risk and control matrices;
  • Prepare draft audit reports and interact with client to obtain management responses and final draft audit reports;
  • Finalize audit files ensuring quality throughout the audit;
  • Facilitate engagements pertaining to IT audits or technical areas within area of responsibility and ensure that all the relevant internal and external stakeholders are involved;
  • Obtained detailed understanding of clients business and IT environment and identify potential leads to increase our offering to the client.
  • General project management and file management;
  • Work with managers to prepare IT audit, programme assurance and advisory proposals and quotations;
  • Train and develop junior staff members on IT audits, programme assurance and advisory engagement; and
  • Ensure the audit plan is executed on time and per approved timelines.


Requirements

  • CISA or studying towards CISA
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics
  • Must have in-depth knowledge and skills in IT auditing

Qualifications:
  • BSc degree / BTech in IT or an equivalent qualification / Bcom Informatics

Experience:
  • At least 3-5 years of working experience in IT Auditing
  • IT auditing experience, project assurance experience advantageous
