Purpose Of The Job

The purpose of the job is to develop, implement, and monitor the healthcare strategy for clients, considering the Alexforbes Health approach. Ensure client retention and deliver exceptional service. Develop strategies for expanding membership, identify new business opportunities, and secure additional revenue. Stay informed on industry developments and share insights with clients. Coordinate relevant stakeholders to manage relationships and oversee the service consultant assigned to clients, maintaining AFH standards. Identify growth opportunities for the service consultant.

  • Manage medical scheme membership retention
  • Drive new business growth in Gap and primary care memberships
  • Ensure client satisfaction and foster customer orientation
  • Collaborate across AF Group divisions for integrated value propositions
  • Manage client relationships and provide consulting services
  • Build strategic partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and industry regulations
Financial
  • Manage profit and loss for services to clients, with approval from the Consulting Manager
  • Maintain and grow the existing client base
  • Invoice for work outside the annual plan, as agreed
  • Identify growth and new business opportunities within clients
  • Promote cross-selling initiatives within AF
  • Control costs related to travel, accommodation, communication, and printing
  • Confirm income quarterly for all clients
  • Update the operations manager on client changes
  • Notify the Consulting Manager and Regional Executive of expenses
  • Report errors or omissions that could impact AFH
  • Manage wellness fund budgets accurately where applicable
Clients
  • Build and maintain trustworthy relationships with stakeholders
  • Conduct client satisfaction surveys and audits
  • Manage client expectations effectively
  • Maintain ongoing communication to understand and meet client needs
  • Prepare and present strategy reports as per SLA
  • Develop Year Plans with clients and ensure service delivery
  • Stay updated on legislative and industry changes and communicate their impact
  • Handle client calls professionally
  • Draft and distribute client communications
  • Manage billing statements and reconciliations
  • Oversee Service consultant deliverables, ensuring quality and timeliness
  • Report regularly to the Consulting Manager on client matters
  • Assist the Consulting Manager with shared client responsibilities
Compliance to internal processes
  • Ensure electronic and hard copies of client information are maintained
  • Monitor and resolve client queries and application forms
  • Update and manage client data and activity logs
  • Send timely invitations for client events
  • Produce customized reports for clients
  • Save all client documents on SharePoint
  • Achieve high compliance audit scores
  • Manage client communication logistics
  • Follow scheme protocols and duties
  • Update scheme financials and demographic data regularly
  • Maintain accurate complaints and gift registers
Project Management
  • Contribute to business development and project initiatives

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent/diploma
  • 120 FAIS Credits (FPI, Wealth Management, etc.)
  • Subjects: Long Term category A, Short Term Personal Lines, Health Benefits
  • Regulatory Exam 1
  • Minimum 3 years in Healthcare Industry
  • At least 2 years in healthcare client consulting
