Job summary

The Department of Human Settlements in the West Rand Region is seeking a Professional Construction Project Manager Grade A to lead construction projects within the built environment portfolio. You will develop implementation plans, monitor schedules, undertake site inspections and provide project performance reports.

Requirements include higher qualifications in built environment and compulsory SACPCMP registration with relevant experience; travel and site inspections are expected.

Qualifications

• Four years and six months’ experience in built environment / construction project management, or
• Three years’ experience with an Honours Degree in built environment fields, or
• Compulsory SACPCMP professional registration as PrCPM (or in another category)

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects within the built environment portfolio.
• Develop project implementation plans and monitor schedules, site inspections and progress reporting.
• Ensure PFMA compliance, budgets, cash flow, and contract administration; liaise with stakeholders.
