Job summary

JenRecruitment is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee multiple projects from planning through to completion. You will lead Project Managers, Site Supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure safety, on-time delivery, budget adherence and quality across commercial, industrial and residential roofing projects.

The role requires a strong background in budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating resources, with knowledge of SA building regulations and OHS.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building Science or related field.
• 5–10 years' construction management experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects.
• Experience in commercial, industrial and residential roofing projects.
• SACPCMP registration or eligibility advantageous.
• SAMTRAC or similar health & safety qualification advantageous.
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple construction projects from planning through to completion.
• Develop and monitor construction programmes, schedules and resource requirements.
• Lead and provide guidance to Project Managers and Site Supervisors.
• Coordinate labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors across projects.
• Monitor project progress, budgets, profitability and quality.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure workmanship meets standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Manage subcontractor performance and relationships.
• Identify and resolve construction issues and delays.
• Maintain project documentation, snagging and final handovers.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, engineers and suppliers.
• Prepare progress reports and communicate project performance, risks and resource needs to management.
• Identify opportunities to improve construction processes, productivity and cost efficiency.
