Placements24 seeks a Senior Construction Engineer for a prominent Pretoria-based firm. You will provide expert engineering leadership across complex projects, review designs, ensure compliance, and drive safe on-site execution.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Civil/Construction Engineering, 10+ years in the field, ECSA registration, and deep knowledge of structural analysis, materials science, and construction methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Construction Engineering; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction engineering, with senior capacity.
• Professional registration with a recognized engineering body (ECSA).
• Expert knowledge of structural analysis, materials science, and construction methods.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and design tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert engineering guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure that all construction activities comply with engineering principles, codes, and project requirements.
• Conduct technical site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and quality.
• Identify and resolve complex engineering problems and challenges during construction.
