Placements24 is seeking a Senior Computer Vision Engineer to join a fully remote team focused on autonomous systems. You will design, implement, and optimize perception and sensor fusion pipelines, working with cameras, LiDAR, and radar in a distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field with CV focus.
• 5+ years hands-on experience in computer vision engineering, especially in autonomous systems or robotics.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python programming languages.
• Experience with OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Strong understanding of 3D geometry, sensor fusion, state estimation, and probabilistic robotics.
• Experience with real-time systems and embedded programming.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of advanced computer vision algorithms for autonomous systems.
• Develop and optimize real-time perception pipelines, including object detection, tracking, depth estimation, and SLAM.
• Work with cameras, LiDAR, radar data and perform sensor fusion.
• Design and implement deep learning models for visual perception tasks for autonomous apps.
• Collaborate with robotics engineers, software developers, and AI specialists in a remote setting.
• Test, validate, and debug CV systems thoroughly.
• Stay updated on latest CV and autonomous driving research and tech.
• Optimize algorithms for performance, efficiency, and real-time execution on embedded systems.
• Contribute to system architecture and technical roadmap for autonomous systems.
• Document code, algorithms, and system designs effectively.
