Nova Pioneer is seeking a superstar FET Computer Science Teacher to teach senior grades at Ruimsig Secondary School in Johannesburg, South Africa, starting January 2027. You will deliver enquiry-based CS lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum and empower students through hands-on coding projects.

The role requires SACE registration or equivalent, a CS-focused degree with PGCE or BEd, and at least 3 years of CS teaching experience.

• BSc in Computer Science or similar degree; PGCE ideal.
• SACE registered.
• +3 years teaching Computer Science.
• Understanding of the Cambridge Computer Science Curriculum.
• Strong technical knowledge of Computer Science.
• Experience with Python, Visual Basic (console), Pascal/Delphi.
• Portfolio of programming work.
• Love for teaching and student success.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver real-world, enquiry-based CS lessons aligned to Cambridge curriculum.
• Design rigorous lesson plans and use technology to enhance delivery.
• Observe and coach new teachers and collaborate with Deans.
• Communicate with parents and contribute to co-curricular activities.
• Attend regular team meetings and professional development sessions.
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Participate in school-wide learning and reflection initiatives.
