Job summary

Opensource is hiring a software engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade apps using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS cloud services. You will develop RESTful APIs, NoSQL and SQL databases, and frontend UIs with Angular and JavaScript.

The role requires experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, Docker, Git/GitHub, and code quality practices. Collaboration, mentoring, and Generative AI initiatives are part of the scope.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Java and Spring Boot for enterprise-grade apps.
• Experience with AWS cloud services and cloud-based architectures.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and data modelling.
• Frontend skills with Angular and JavaScript; Node.js familiarity.
• Experience with JPA & Hibernate and RESTful API design.
• IaC expertise with Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Version control with Git/GitHub and containerization with Docker.
• Code quality practices including SonarQube and Maven for builds.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade applications.
• Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop responsive frontend apps with Angular and JavaScript.
• Design and manage relational and NoSQL databases.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Deploy, monitor, and support apps in AWS environments.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold high code quality.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver innovative tech solutions.
• Mentor teammates and share knowledge and best practices.
• Contribute to Generative AI discussions and related initiatives.
