Job summary

iOCO is seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer to operate inside an AWS-native banking environment, owning CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and environment provisioning to streamline delivery.

In this hybrid role based in Sandton, you will automate deployments, harden environments, implement observability, and ensure PCI-DSS compliance while collaborating with architects, security engineers, and platform teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on experience in a DevOps or SRE role, with emphasis on automation and CI/CD delivery.
• Hands-on AWS experience, ideally in financial services with PCI‑DSS compliant systems.
• Proven track record implementing CI/CD automation across delivery architectures.
• Strong observability and hybrid/cloud deployment experience.
• Familiarity with AWS Well‑Architected Framework and security‑conscious design.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines across the delivery estate.
• Automate AWS workload provisioning and configuration deployment using infrastructure as code.
• Build and operate deployment automation, release tooling, and environment management.
• Harden developer experience templates, pipelines, and self-service tooling.
• Integrate security and compliance controls into pipelines and infrastructure.
