Job summary

First Point Group is seeking a senior Cyber Security Engineer to secure multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and advance AI security and DevSecOps initiatives in South Africa. This role focuses on implementing robust security controls, governance, and risk management across cloud and AI-driven platforms.

You will collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps teams, and security specialists to deliver secure, compliant transformation programs and enable secure cloud adoption at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• Senior cybersecurity engineer with hands-on cloud security in AWS and Azure.
• Experience designing secure cloud architectures and DevSecOps controls.
• Knowledge of AI/ML security and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure cloud architectures across AWS and Microsoft Azure.
• Establish security baselines and governance frameworks for cloud platforms.
• Support enterprise cloud migration and transformation initiatives.
• Assess and mitigate cybersecurity risks across cloud and AI environments.
• Design and implement DevSecOps security controls within CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform security reviews of cloud workloads, applications, and architectures.
• Support AI and machine learning security governance programs.
• Develop security monitoring, incident response, and remediation processes.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security posture reviews.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams on secure solution design.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cloud and cyber resilience.
