Our client is a growing mid-sized property management company that specialises inprime and super prime residential and mixed-tenure schemes in central London. With an ambitious expansion strategy underway, they are seeking an experienced Senior Client Accountant to join their international finance team remotely from Cape Town.
About the RoleTheSenior Client Accountant will be responsible for reporting on the financial position of an assigned client portfolio and ensuring internal and external stakeholders have a clear and accurate understanding of each property’s financial health. This is a high-impact role requiring accuracy, timeliness, and stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering service charge accounts, periodic financial reporting, and year-end audit packs, while actively contributing to the company’s performance during this exciting growth phase.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review budget packs in collaboration with Property Relationship Managers (PRMs), General Managers (GMs), and clients
Deliver year-end audit packs, liaise with auditors, and finalise service charge accounts in line with regulations
Provide periodic (minimum quarterly) client financial reporting packs at a consistently high standard
Perform monthly bank reconciliations across the assigned portfolio
Maintain an up-to-date accounts checklist and track KPIs via MS Teams Planner
Handle lessee financial queries and collaborate with stakeholders on troubleshooting
Manage pre-sales financial packs, ground rent funds, and void accounts
Maintain accuracy in Qube system data entries and contract management
Support delivery of compliance linked to the Building Safety Act 2022
Reconcile site setup funds and support onboarding for new builds
Contribute to internal reporting structures such as the Healthy Finance Matrix
Remain current on internal procedures, policies, and self-development initiatives
5+ years of experience in client or property accounting
Strong background in service charge accounting and financial reporting
High-level Excel skills
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work to strict deadlines
Familiarity with property management systems like Qube is advantageous
Demonstrates attention to detail, self-management, and team collaboration
System experience is not required but would be a nice to have
