Senior Claims Consultant: Short Term Insurance

About The Role

We seek an energetic, innovative, and customer service-driven Senior Claims Consultant to manage and process insurance claims efficiently, ensuring compliance with policies, insurer requirements, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Adhere to the claims notification and registration process
  2. Provide effective claims support and administration
  3. Liaise with insurers regarding outstanding documents
  4. Handle escalated queries and complaints
  5. Assist with on-the-job training as needed
  6. Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory requirements
  7. Submit weekly and monthly reports
  8. Meet service level agreements
  9. Retain policies and provide data for upselling opportunities
  10. Maintain detailed claims records
Qualifications
  • National Senior Certificate / Matric
  • FAIS credits on NQF level 4 or a full FSCA aligned qualification (recommended)
  • Regulatory exam (RE5) (recommended)
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' applicable short term insurance customer service and claims experience
  • Minimum 12 months contact centre experience
Knowledge and Skills
  • Multilingual, including English
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
