Job Description

WSP South Africa seeks an experienced and passionate Registered Professional Civil Engineer with road and civil infrastructure design experience. The role involves functioning as a senior design engineer and project manager for municipal infrastructure projects in South Africa, with potential support for international projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Design municipal roads and infrastructure using Civil3D
• Manage projects and coordinate with other engineering disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects
• Provide technical input from initial assessment through feasibility, design, and construction to project close-out
• Conduct investigations, surveys, design, calculations, and prepare drawings and estimates
• Review project designs and suggest improvements
• Assist in preparing cost estimates
• Stay updated on industry advances and policy developments
• Review technical submissions and assess risks
• Support or conduct project-related activities within the discipline

Site Monitoring & Skills

• Monitor construction and acceptance, including site visits and commissioning supervision
• Detail-oriented with strong municipal infrastructure and roads skills
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Lead civil engineering design tasks in project development
• Client liaison and project management
• Promote SHEQ standards and safety culture

Qualifications & Experience
