Our client, a leading engineering consultancy, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join their dynamic team in Mossel Bay, Western Cape. You will play a pivotal role in the design, planning, and execution of complex civil engineering works, ensuring they meet stringent quality and safety standards. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering design processes for various infrastructure projects, including roads, water supply, and sanitation systems.
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and detailed design calculations.
• Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and contract administration.
• Oversee project execution, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
• Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, government authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
• Ensure all designs and projects adhere to relevant national and local building codes and environmental regulations in Mossel Bay.
• Conduct quality control inspections and ensure adherence to safety protocols on construction sites.

Requirements

• BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in civil infrastructure design and project management.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects, particularly in the Western Cape context.
• Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and PDS.
