Job summary

Aurex Constructors in South Africa seeks a professionally registered civil engineer to lead design and oversight of earthworks, roads and drainage across major projects. Must be Pr Eng or eligible, with at least five years of relevant experience in infrastructure, mining, industrial, energy or construction.

You will prepare calculations and reports, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, monitor schedules and budgets, conduct site inspections, review submissions, manage risks, and ensure HSE

Qualifications

• Registered or eligible for registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist.
• Minimum of 5 years' relevant civil engineering experience.
• Experience in infrastructure, mining, industrial, energy, or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering design principles and construction methodologies.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or similar engineering software.
• Excellent communication, report-writing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee civil engineering works, including earthworks, roads, drainage, foundations, concrete structures, and related infrastructure.
• Prepare engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, clients, and stakeholders.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with engineering standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Review contractor submissions, drawings, and material specifications.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and technical challenges.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Support tender preparation, project planning, and contract administration activities.
