Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Childminder and Activity Planner to provide in-home childcare in Soweto, Gauteng. You will design engaging activities, support development, and maintain a safe, nurturing home environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of professional childcare experience, First Aid/CPR, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to communicate with parents and adapt to family routines.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of professional childcare experience.
• Proven ability to plan and lead developmental activities.
• Strong knowledge of child development stages.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification for children is mandatory.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and provide references.

You will be instrumental in guiding children's learning through play, supporting their social-emotional growth, and managing daily routines. Key Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate, and safe childcare for children in their home environment.
• Design and implement a diverse range of age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, including arts, crafts, reading, and outdoor play.
• Plan and prepare healthy and nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
• Manage daily routines, including waking up, dressing, bathing, mealtimes, nap times, and bedtime.
