The role demands a visionary leader with a strong track record in chemical process development, pilot plant operations, and commercial manufacturing in a GMP/ISO environment.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• 10+ years of experience in chemical process development, especially specialty chemicals.
• Proven leadership of engineering teams and complex projects.
• Expertise in process scale-up, pilot plant operations and commercial manufacture.
• Knowledge of process modelling, simulation tools, and reaction engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of new specialty chemical processes from concept to commercialization.
• Oversee pilot plant operations and scale-up activities for smooth transitions to full production.
• Mentor and manage a team of chemical engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations and QA to ensure process integrity and product quality.
• Conduct PHAs and implement safety measures for operational safety.
• Develop project timelines, budgets, and allocate resources.
• Optimize processes for yield, efficiency, cost, and sustainability.
• Prepare and review engineering specs, P&IDs and SOPs.
