Placements24 is seeking a Senior Chemical Engineer with Environmental Compliance expertise to lead regulatory programs for chemical processes. This predominantly remote role collaborates with plant operations and management teams across South Africa, including near Richards Bay, to ensure compliance with environmental laws and sustainability goals.

You will develop environmental management plans, conduct impact assessments, monitor emissions and waste, and deliver training and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years in environmental compliance, preferably in chemical industry.
• Strong knowledge of environmental laws and regulations (e.g., NEMA, EIA).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage environmental compliance programs and strategies.
• Ensure adherence to local, national, and international environmental regulations for chemical manufacturing.
