Qualifications

• Recognised professional culinary qualification.
• 3–5 years’ professional kitchen experience.
• Experience as Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie.
• All-rounder skills in hot kitchen, cold kitchen and pastry.
• Five-star lodge or fine-dining background preferred.
• Ability to operate villa and supervise staff.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, stock and portion control.
• Supervisory ability to train junior chefs.
• Valid SA ID or work authorisation.

Responsibilities

• Work across hot, cold and pastry sections as required.
• Provide relief support at the villa.
• Prepare and present breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinners and bush events.
• Maintain five-star flavours, presentation and consistency.
• Support Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily ops.
• Supervise and train junior chefs and assistants.
• Ensure stock control and hygiene compliance.

Job Requirements

• Recognised professional culinary qualification
• 3–5 years’ professional kitchen experience
• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie
• Proven all‑rounder skills in hot kitchen, cold kitchen, and pastry
• Five‑star lodge, hotel, resort, or fine‑dining background preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage villa operations
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and pastry production
• Understanding of food safety, hygiene, stock control, and portion control
• Supervisory ability to guide and train junior chefs
• Valid South African ID or work authorisation

Key Responsibilities

• Work across hot, cold, and pastry sections as required
