As a Senior Change Analyst, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the IT Change Management process, ensuring adherence to ITIL standards. This role involves planning, scheduling, and coordinating all change activities to minimize disruption to business operations. The analyst will perform risk assessments, analyze the impact of changes, and collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful implementation. Additionally, the role includes organizing and chairing Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, maintaining documentation, and providing regular reports on change activities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Implement and manage the ITIL-based change management process across the department.
- Ensure all changes are logged, categorized, and processed in alignment with ITIL standards.
- Oversee evaluation, authorization, prioritization, and scheduling of IT changes.
- Perform risk assessments and analyze the impact of changes on IT services, infrastructure, and business operations.
- Collaborate with technical teams to mitigate risks and ensure backup plans are in place.
Change Scheduling and Implementation :
- Manage the change calendar, aligning scheduling with business needs and availability.
- Coordinate with service delivery, release management, and technical teams for successful change implementation.
Change Advisory Board (CAB) :
- Organize and chair CAB meetings to review and authorize changes.
- Ensure all stakeholders are involved in decision-making.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain records of change requests, approvals, and outcomes.
- Generate and distribute reports on change activity, success rates, and KPIs.
Post-Implementation Reviews (PIR) :
- Conduct PIR to assess change success and lessons learned.
- Use PIR feedback for continuous process improvement.
Stakeholder Communication :
- Act as point of contact for change-related queries and escalations.
- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders throughout the change lifecycle.
Qualifications :
- National Diploma / Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Proscie Certification is required; ITIL Practitioner or Intermediate preferred.
- Relevant change management certifications are advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in IT change management within an ITIL environment.
- Experience organizing and managing CAB meetings.
- Proven track record managing changes in large-scale IT environments.
Technical Skills :
- Deep knowledge of ITIL Change Management processes.
- Experience with ITSM tools like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or similar.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure and application change impacts (cloud, network, server).
Soft Skills :
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and multitasking ability.
Teamwork & Collaboration :
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams for change implementation.
