Description

• Conduct line maintenance inspections
• Ensure quality during Pre-Flight, Post-Flight, and Transit inspections
• Perform routine and non-routine inspections and maintenance on aircraft to meet safety and operational standards
• Conduct routine inspections on various avionics systems
• Perform fault finding and rectify issues based on findings
• Conduct thorough daily inspections to identify potential issues or defects
• Perform maintenance tasks to ensure aircraft airworthiness
• Adhere to maintenance procedures and safety standards
• Record activities properly and sign off as per SACAA requirements, ensuring legal compliance
• Comply with Health and Safety requirements to ensure safety of personnel, fire prevention, and accident/incident prevention
• Maintain the work area, equipment, and tooling in a safe condition prior to starting work
• Maintain high standards of inspection quality
• Apply analytical thinking and troubleshooting to identify root causes and implement solutions
• Communicate clearly and professionally to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Licensed AME with SACAA W1, W2, W3 license on B738 -400 / -800 (Essential)
• Compass Swing experience (Advantageous)
• Minimum of 15 years of aviation experience
• Line and SVM experience
• Previous experience working on B737-400 and -800
• Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Available and willing to travel at short notice locally and internationally
• Valid South African passport
• Thorough understanding of technical aircraft publications and documentation
• Knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards
• Good understanding of Avionics Schematic systems
• Excellent troubleshooting skills on B737/400/800
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
