Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain enterprise applications using modern .NET technologies.
• Lead solution design and establish technical frameworks for new apps and integrations.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations.
• Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews to promote best practices.
• Contribute to architectural standards, documentation and DevOps practices.

This role is ideal for a senior developer who enjoys designing scalable solutions, mentoring developers, driving technical excellence, and contributing to cloud-native application development. You will play a key role in solution architecture, software development, technical leadership, and continuous improvement while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality business solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development

Design, develop, test and maintain enterprise applications using modern .NET technologies.

Produce scalable, secure and maintainable technical solutions aligned to architectural standards.

Participate in solution design and establish technical frameworks for new applications and integrations.

Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and system integrations.

Contribute to application architecture and technical decision-making.

Produce technical documentation where required.

Implement secure coding practices and ensure adherence to development standards.

Design and develop cloud-based solutions using AWS services.

Build and support microservices and containerised applications.

Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.

Collaborate on deployment automation and release management.

Support production deployments and ongoing optimisation of applications.

Technical Leadership

Mentor and coach junior developers.

Conduct code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.

Contribute to technical standards, development frameworks and coding principles.

Participate in proof of concepts (POCs) and technical innovation initiatives.

Work closely with Business Analysts, Test Analysts, Architects and Project Teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle.

Assist with SQL database design, optimisation and performance tuning.

Support application stability and production support activities.

Participate in standby support when required.

Relevant Degree or Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science.

AWS Certification advantageous.

Minimum 10 years' experience in software development within object-oriented environments.

Strong understanding of:

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

Design Patterns

Experience working within enterprise software development environments.

Financial Services or Investment industry experience will be advantageous.
