JD Sports is the exclusive retail partner to TFG and will further bolster TFG’s existing positioning as the destination of choice for athletic and leisure sports apparel.
Key Responsibilities- Procure and build appropriate ranges aligned to the strategy with special attention to all trading opportunities.
- Attend all appointments related to product launches and selection throughout the year as specified.
- Analyze and review previous week's sales with the planning team and propose actions for the upcoming week.
- Prepare and present performance reports in trade meetings.
- Formulate departmental strategies to maximize sales and source stock accordingly.
- Negotiate effectively to meet business KPIs.
- Build and maintain good relationships with employees, suppliers, and key business functions.
- Contribute to growth and profit through innovative ideas.
- Be available for local and international buying trips.
- Understand and deliver a product strategy aligned with store brand strategies.
- Consider both the big picture and specific details in planning.
- Drive product efficiencies and key performance measures.
- Manage OTB allowances in-season and for future budgets.
- Present strategies and ranges for approval with key stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively at all levels.
- Foster collaboration across buying, planning, marketing, VM, and operations teams.
Qualifications and Experience- Diploma, degree, or postgraduate qualification.
- Experience in buying branded goods is essential.
- Experience in buying sports fashion is advantageous.
- Understanding of the retail cycle and buying process.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
