Salary R 40000.00 onwards depending on experience

Job Description :

Hire Resolves client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Buyer Procurement to join their team in Midrand. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in buying supervision and procurement within the construction civil building and roads industries. You will be responsible for overseeing the procurement team and ensuring the efficient purchase of materials and services in line with the organization's needs.

Responsibilities :

• Supervise and lead the procurement / buying team to ensure operational efficiency and performance.
• Procure construction civil building and road materials and services ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms and pricing to secure the best deals for the company.
• Coordinate with various departments to understand project requirements and ensure the timely procurement of goods and services.
• Implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and industry regulations.
• Manage procurement processes from sourcing through to purchasing, inventory control, and delivery.
• Continuously improve procurement operations to optimize costs and efficiency.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of procurement activities.

Requirements :

• Non-negotiable: Experience with Buildsmart and CCS (Candy) software.
• 7-10 years of experience in procurement / buying with a strong background in construction civil building and roads.
• Proven experience in supervising a buying team.
• Procurement / Buying qualification (degree or diploma).
• Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A proactive self-starting individual with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think outside the box and adapt to changing circumstances.
