Job summary

Placements24 is assisting a prominent educational institution in Sandton, Gauteng, to appoint a Senior Business Studies Teacher for the FET phase. The role focuses on delivering economics, management, entrepreneurship and accounting with engaging lessons and real-world business examples.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Economics with PGCE and has at least six years of FET teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics or related field with PGCE.
• Minimum of 6 years experience teaching Business Studies at the FET level.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with educational technology in business education.

Responsibilities

• Teach Business Studies to FET phase learners, covering entrepreneurship, management, and financial principles.
• Develop engaging lesson plans and assess student performance through assignments, projects, tests, and examinations.
• Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help students achieve their potential.
• Collaborate with other educators in the commerce faculty to enhance teaching and learning strategies.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
