Join a growing fintech start-up offering card issuing, BaaS, and POS solutions for underserved communities.
You'll lead sales growth, build strategic partnerships, and play a key role in navigating the regulatory landscape.
Reporting directly to the CEO and COO, this role is crucial to the success of the business and requires a strategic mindset.
5 or more years in business development or partnerships within fintech/ BaaS
Business-related tertiary qualification preferred
Previous B2B and B2C experience
Strong network in the South African financial services and fintech sectors
Skilled in negotiation, deal-making, and stakeholder engagement
Deep understanding of payments, BaaS, card issuing, and relevant regulations
Self-starter with resilience and drive to thrive in a start-up environment
Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify and close strategic co-brand and B2B partnerships
Source and manage provider relationships (banks, processors, infrastructure)
Drive sales for POS devices into the informal sectors
Build and maintain relationships with regulators (SARB, PASA)
Manage the full sales cycle from lead to close
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, product, and engineering
Identify new markets and expansion opportunities
