(Snr.) Business Development Manager

e-STORAGE is a subsidiary of Canadian Solar and a leading company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and integration of battery energy storage systems for utility-scale applications. The Company offers its own proprietary LFP battery solution, comprehensive EPC services, and innovative solutions aimed at improving grid operations, integrating clean energy, and contributing to a sustainable future. e-STORAGE has successfully implemented over 3.3 GWh DC of battery energy storage solutions in various locations, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and China. This significant accomplishment solidifies e-STORAGE's position as a key player in the global energy storage integration industry. Currently, the Company operates two fully automated, state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities with an annual production capacity of approaching 20 GWh. e-STORAGE is fully equipped to continue providing high-quality, scalable energy storage solutions and contribute to the widespread adoption of clean energy.

Position Title: (Snr.) Business Development Manager

Position Summary:

The (Snr.) Business Development Manager is responsible for specifying, planning and growth of new product and solution in the Energy Storage segment. This role is in a key position to formulate innovative product solutions and will form productive and sustainable relationships with external and internal business partners (both suppliers and customers) to ensure the ongoing and focused development and success of our business expansion.

Responsibilities:

  1. Collect & understand customer needs, market trends and input from across organizational leadership to align product strategy and roadmap in the Energy Storage market segment.
  2. Identifying Opportunities, Proposal Preparation for the RFPs, Budgeting and Pricing, Price and Contract terms negotiation and Post-Bid Analysis.
  3. Develop and engage early adopter customers in testing and launching of new Energy Storage products and solutions.
  4. Carry out feasibility studies/business plans for product or service improvement, customizing, remodeling and new product/sales/service development.
  5. Assess operational issues regarding competitiveness, staying current in terms of trends, innovations and pricing while staying up to date with external and internal developments in the environment for identifying new market segments.
  6. Align with internal development and delivery team or external suppliers to ensure consistency in product and schedule expectations. Conduct and participate in midterm and final product design review to assess product quality.
  7. Work with field marketing and sales team in managing product launch process.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum 5 years of experience in Energy Storage, Wind and solar industry
  2. Proven track record of business development experience
  3. Confident with decision making in regards to determining Product guidelines, purpose, following through and completion
  4. Understanding of financial reports including budgetary guidelines and Product expenditures
  5. Entrepreneurial background in a Sales capacity
  6. Can-do personality, competitive and driven.
  7. Excellent interpersonal relations and demonstrated ability to work with others effectively in teams.
  8. High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts.
  9. Self-motivated and able to work independently and proactively without supervision.
  10. Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementing skills.
  11. Ability to travel as required – expected travel requirement app. 50-60%
