Job summary

A leading logistics company is seeking a Senior Business Development Expert in Durban. The ideal candidate should have a strong sales track record and extensive experience in Clearing and Forwarding. Responsibilities include maintaining client relations, implementing sales strategies, and acquiring new business. Applicants must possess strong communication and negotiation skills and a valid qualification at NQF Level 5.

Qualifications

  • 5 – 10 years of Clearing and Forwarding Sales experience.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate processing of credit applications.
  • Implement strategies to meet sales performance targets.
  • Cost freight movements and prepare service estimates as required.
  • Interface with existing strategic customers to solidify mutual expectations of performance and growth.
  • Maintain and update client records.
  • Provide quarterly assessments of sales activities.
  • Acquire new business and expand among existing clients.
  • Open business development dialogues with strategic customers.
  • Comply with the requirements of the quality management system.
