Job description

Duties & Responsibilities

Job Purpose: Reporting to the SAP Manager, the Business Analyst - SAP SD primarily owns and supports the sales and distribution areas, specifically Customer Master Data, Pricing, Quotations, Orders, Deliveries, and all related SAP SD Reports.

This individual collaborates with key stakeholders to review business and development requirements and define efficient and practical solutions to meet business needs.

They provide day-to-day functional and technical support, ongoing system improvements, and strategic technical system direction.

This individual acts as the gatekeeper for all SAP SD related demand requests and is responsible for the SAP SD processes.

Qualifications required to fulfill the role:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or operations management related field.
  • SAP Certification in SD is advantageous.

Specific Work Experience, Knowledge, and Skills required:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as SAP SD functional analyst/consultant responsible for configuration and support.
  • Experience in at least two full lifecycle SAP implementation projects with demonstrable leadership.
  • Good knowledge of other core SAP modules (FI, CO, MM, PP) and their integration points.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI and SAP pricing.
  • Proven ability to translate user requirements into solutions and lead their implementation, including testing and training.
  • Good functional and process knowledge of order processing, delivery, logistics, freight charges, billing, pricing, agreements, and rebates.
  • Understanding of integration with other SAP and Non-SAP systems.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Gather requirements, facilitate process discussions, and participate in solution design, documentation, configuration, testing, and support.
  • Participate in implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop functional specifications for interfaces, data conversions, enhancements, and reports.
  • Design and support SAP SD processes, ensuring integration and compliance with cybersecurity standards.
  • Support and train users on system configurations and changes.
  • Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders to support business solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
