Our client in the Banking Sector based in Johannesburg is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join their team on a 12-month hybrid contract. This position requires an experienced candidate with a solid understanding of Business Analysis and Enterprise Business Processes.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Assess, analyse, optimise, document, implement, and test end-to-end enterprise business processes of a multi-skilled team.
2. Interact with the business community at all levels, facilitating design workshops and conducting end-user training, as well as leading presentations to senior management and executives.
3. Work with stakeholders throughout the organisation to build a holistic view of the organisation's strategy, processes, information, and information technology assets.
4. Link and align the business mission, strategy, and processes of an organisation to its information technology strategy.
5. Document using multiple models or views that show how the current and future needs of an organisation will be met in an efficient, sustainable, agile, and adaptable manner.
6. Bring business needs, capabilities, technology, and processes together efficiently and effectively.
7. Perform business analysis tasks to connect information technology, processes, and business needs in varying levels of detail within an area of speciality.

Desired Experience & Qualification

1. Mastery of industry-recognised knowledge areas for Business Analysis, working at the highest levels of abstraction, ambiguity, and complexity within the organisation.
2. Experience in Enterprise Collections and client and product risk management is preferred.
3. Candidates must have worked on agile projects, understanding of the SAFe framework, and use of agile tools like Jira and Confluence, as well as process mapping tools like Aris.
4. Experience in collections and recoveries projects in the banking industry, with working experience in transactional banking products, secured and unsecured lending products.
5. Experience in applying process modelling standards such as BPMN.
6. Knowledge of and exposure to business process transformation, including process enabling and integrating technologies, such as Business Process Reengineering and Workflow management.
7. Business Intelligence, Analytics and Reporting.
8. At least 10 years' experience as a business analyst assessing, mapping, and optimizing business processes.
9. Experience in facilitating workshops with business users (up to executive level) to gather requirements, generate ideas, and validate designs, including scoping, sizing, and planning all business aspects of a solution and the associated project effort and dependencies.
