Duties and responsibilities:
- Perform high-level analysis in the CE cycle, assisting to unpack features, impacts, and dependencies at a senior/specialist level.
- Identify areas for improvement in current business and shared process/system environments.
- Contribute to business strategy and stay updated on retail industry trends.
- Work confidently across multiple domains, systems, and processes, considering enterprise-wide impacts.
- Analyze customer impacts using user journeys and operational insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
- Assess business implications of requirements and propose process improvements.
- Evaluate risks, costs, and benefits of process designs.
- Define and guide the implementation of business rules.
- Drive change initiatives and own knowledge within the team.
- Work closely with architects, designers, and stakeholders to evaluate solutions.
- Advise on technical solutions and business design alternatives.
- Lead and influence stakeholders to consider optimal solutions.
- Mentor junior and intermediate BAs, building trust with business and IT.
- Engage with vendors and manage third-party relationships when needed.
- Ensure high-quality delivery, monitor costs, and manage project timelines.
- Research opportunities for business improvement and value addition.
- Lead in solution scope definition, data mapping, and change management.
- Produce clear specifications and facilitate risk mitigation.
- Contribute to the development of the BA practice and community of practice.
- Promote teamwork, communication, and professional development.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of own area and industry developments.
- Apply IT values such as collaboration, delivery, innovation, integrity, quality, recognition, and stewardship.
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree with 5-8 years of related experience.
- Advanced BA certification such as CBAP, AAC, or similar.
- Experience across all SDLC phases and Business Process Management.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Strong planning, mentoring, and business acumen.
- Willingness to coach and develop junior team members.
- Knowledge of retail industry and tools like Aris.
