Main focus of the role

We are looking for a self-starting Senior Business Analyst to support StructureIt projects and lead a team of business analysts. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, leadership, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on business analysis, delivery management, and team leadership and line management. The successful candidate will work across multiple business domains, ensuring high-quality requirement gathering, solution design, and implementation.

What you'll do
  1. Business Analysis & Solution Design
    • Lead requirement gathering and documentation, translating client needs into functional specifications.
    • Define and document use cases, user stories, process flows, and UI designs.
    • Work closely with the development team to design scalable solutions.
    • Drive feature backlog grooming and prioritization.
    • Ensure that solutions align with business strategy, compliance, and risk management requirements.
  2. Stakeholder & Client Management
    • Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert to clients and internal teams.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
    • Support presales efforts and revenue retention by identifying value-driven enhancements.
    • Ensure effective communication and expectation management across all stakeholders.
  3. Delivery & Quality Management
    • Work with QA teams to define test cases and ensure system testing meets business needs.
    • Lead peer reviews and ensure adherence to quality standards across all BA deliverables.
    • Identify and mitigate risks in solution implementation.
    • Ensure timely and accurate information flow between all project stakeholders.
    • Deliver work at a Level 4 initiative, operating independently with minimal supervisory support.
  4. Domain Expertise & Cross-Application Engagement
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the domain and system architecture.
    • Provide thought leadership on best practices for business analysis within financial services.
    • Work across multiple application domains and business units to ensure cohesive solutions.
    • Act as the go-to person for functional and strategic aspects of business analysis.
  5. Strategic Capability Building & Leadership
    • Mentor and coach other analysts and provide line management support.
    • Support recruitment and onboarding of new BAs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
    • Contribute to goal setting, process improvement, and toolset development within the BA capability.
    • Champion best practices in business analysis, improving methodologies and frameworks.
To succeed in this role, you'll need

  • 5 years of experience leading teams.
  • Passion for mentoring and developing a team of direct reports.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and drive capability growth.
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Technical & Domain Expertise
  • 5 years of experience in financial services, ideally in a business analysis or solution delivery role.
  • Experience in building solutions from the ground up as part of project teams.
  • Experience working across multiple business applications and domains.
Business & Delivery Skills
  • Proven track record as a lead analyst from project inception to delivery.
  • Experience with agile and waterfall methodologies.
  • Strong ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Expertise in requirement gathering, user story writing, and feature prioritization.
  • Ability to work independently with high standards.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex concepts.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholder relationships and influencing decisions.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a distributed, multi-region team environment.
