Financial Background: Senior Business Analyst

Our client is a leading financial institution committed to fostering a stable and efficient financial system, promoting economic development, and safeguarding the financial well-being of all South Africans.

The main purpose of these Business Analysts (BAs) is to conduct comprehensive business analysis to optimize business processes, define appropriate ICT solutions, and provide innovative solutions to business problems. The current capacity is insufficient to meet project demands and requires support through short-term contracts for key projects.

Requirements:

• B degree or equivalent (e.g., BTech / BSc / Informatics / Computer Science / Information System / Computer).
• Diploma in Business Analysis.
• Minimum of eight years’ experience in Business Analysis.
• Knowledge, experience, and qualifications in Financial Markets.
• Experience with industry-wide Regulatory and/or Compliance projects.
• Experience in business optimization, problem-solving, or strategic roles within financial markets and investment/asset management environments.
• Experience gathering and consolidating requirements from cross-functional groups.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing timelines.
• Exceptional process and organizational skills with the ability to mobilize change.
• Advanced knowledge of UML and SSADM methodologies.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of ISO20022, XML, and API usage.
• Experience with data, data governance, treasury, or capital markets systems.
• Deep understanding of SDLC.
• Skills in business process analysis, design, and documentation.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet, and email.
• Experience with modelling tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Quality-oriented, motivated self-starter, and a team player.
