A leading company in the financial services sector is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join their team in Midrand. The role involves developing business requirements, managing stakeholder communications, and ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have a relevant degree and over 5 years of experience in the financial sector, with a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and proven problem-solving skills.
Senior Business Analyst
Develop business requirement specifications through well-facilitated discussions and interviews with relevant stakeholders
Document existing business processes and develop and document new business processes
Develop functional and technical specification documentation
Serve as the primary interface between business representatives and technical resources for the development or implementation of business applications
Conduct workshops or JAD (Joint Application Design) sessions to gather requirements and drive discussions
Liaise with relevant stakeholder management to prioritize project deliverables
Transfer care, custody and control of new processes and applications to business owners, including user training and support
Coordinate projects and their inter-dependencies effectively, managing any risks or issues that may arise, including timeline and milestone management
Continuously identify and implement incremental improvements to current processes, independent of larger project deliverables
Manage stakeholders effectively keep management, users, and developers informed of progress through clear communication and expectation management
5+ years experience as a Business Analyst
Must have Financial Services experience
Work experience in a stockbroking or securities environment is beneficial
Experience with Investment Management or LISP platforms is beneficial
Basic SQL and programming skills will be an advantage
Proven track record of successful delivery as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, and/or Subject Matter Expert in data integration, system implementation, or reporting projects
Knowledge and capability in Agile/SCRUM methodologies and PI Planning
Strong communication skills verbal, written, and listening
Proven stakeholder management skills
Skilled in creating and developing Use Cases
Able to compile process, data flow diagrams, and context diagrams
Creative in providing possible solutions to business requirements
