Job description

We need your analytical mind and data-centric approach to help us bring these funds into the Ninety One technology platform.

Initially, the focus will be on mapping and transitioning core data such as securities, holdings, valuations, classifications, and analytics. The scope may expand to include portfolio performance, portfolio risk, and other vital parts of the investment data landscape.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver efficient and accurate onboarding of existing fund data by:

  • Working with data and process subject matter experts to understand the Ninety One data model and data flows.
  • Analyzing data from the current fund provider.
  • Providing detailed, accurate, and actionable mappings for loading data into Ninety One data models and processes.
  • Communicating progress, issues, and risks clearly and promptly.

Risk & Compliance Responsibilities

  • Adhering to the Code of Ethics and related policies, including personal account dealing, gifts, and market abuse.
  • Completing compliance training, declarations, and relevant forms on time.
  • Ensuring proper protection of firm and client data, including IT data.
  • Reporting breaches, errors, complaints, conduct issues, and suspicions of involvement in money laundering, fraud, or market abuse.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

Technical Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Excel and other tools relevant to data comparison and mapping.

System / Domain Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous experience as a Business Analyst.

Financial Services Knowledge

Familiarity with financial data such as securities and holdings for equities and fixed income.

Personal Attributes:

  • Ability to foster collaboration within the IT department.
  • Willingness to share knowledge, ideas, and best practices with team members.
  • Capability to work autonomously within a self-organizing team framework.
