Senior Building Surveyor

Location: East London

Salary: £55K - £62K

Sector: Repairs and Maintenance

Daniel Owen is proud to represent a well-known social housing company based in East London, seeking a highly skilled Senior Building Surveyor to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing reactive repairs, voids, and damp and mould projects.

Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure appropriate commercial controls are in place and adhered to.
  2. Control the commercial aspects of the supply chain, maximizing leverage and working seamlessly within the business.
  3. Oversee team members as required.
  4. Possess a firm understanding of Schedule of Rates for Building Works and have a disrepair building maintenance surveying background.
  5. Have previous experience working in the social housing or local authority sector.
  6. Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  7. Maintain a proactive approach to work.
  8. Be reliable and punctual with a proven track record.
  9. Hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
Key Knowledge:
  1. Industry knowledge of social housing, building contractors, and local authorities.
  2. Experience overseeing other surveyors.
  3. IT and Excel literacy.
  4. HNC or equivalent surveying qualification required.
