Job description

The largest distributor of gold coins in South Africa is looking for a Senior Broker to be based in East Gate, Bedfordview.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To sell rare coins and medallions within a retail environment, emphasizing strong client service and the relentless pursuit of new business using the store and resources provided by the Company, as well as the incumbent's ability to secure sales.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  1. Sales: Selling coins (rare & krugerrands) and medallions to meet personal and store targets. Senior sales consultants are expected to sell a minimum amount as specified in their contracts.
  2. Customer Relationship: Using diagnostic and relationship selling approaches, following the Company's sales process, and maintaining regular contact with clients to build sustainable relationships.
  3. Business Development: Prospecting for new clients through networking, event attendance, research, and referrals.
  4. Product Knowledge: Staying updated on pricing, product developments, and market conditions globally, including economic and political factors.
  5. Client Service: Providing excellent service, following up after sales, and ensuring client collections are balanced and in accordance with company policies.
  6. Store Management: Ensuring the store is open, clean, organized, and represents the brand effectively during all interactions.
  7. Stock and Cash Management: Conducting stock counts, safeguarding stock and cash, and following stock policies and procedures.
  8. Administration and Compliance: Accurate data entry into CRM, capturing leads, ensuring transactions comply with standards, and adhering to relevant legislation and company policies.
  9. Store Maintenance: Keeping the store tidy, wearing name badges, and maintaining operational standards.
  10. Additional Activities: Utilizing quiet times for research, prospecting, updating admin/compliance documents, and identifying new client opportunities.

Reporting Line: This position reports to the sales manager or delegate.
