Job description

IntroductionA vacancy for a Junior Logistics Broker in Pretoria.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring all new and old applications are submitted with correct FICA documentation as per company policy.
  • All new clients are Credit Guarantee Insurance Cover approved with an approved limit before submission for registration on Logistics Information System as per company policy.
  • Ensuring that all Credit Guarantee Insurance Cover limits are adhere to and that approved limits are not exceeded per company policy.
  • All new stock and contract tonnages are submitted to broker assistants and updates onto daily/weekly stock sheet.
  • Ensure that all broker related queries are handled in a timeously and accurate manner.
  • Ensuring that all brokered loads are daily booked and executed accurately on the Logistics Information System.
  • Accurate and professional updates to clients and transporters.
  • Returning and handling of all client and transport related queries and feedback to all parties in a timely and professional manner.
  • Answering of calls during working and after hours and responding to such calls once missed in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensuring all queries are resolved withing a two-day time frame from date of receipt from admin personnel.
  • New business development
  • New transporter recruitment
  • Continuous weekly business schedule trips to clients and transporters
  • Maintenance of all current client/transporter relationships
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • Degree in Logistics/Supply Chain
  • Agricultural background will be a benefit
  • Excellent computer literature
  • Excellent communication skills (Bilingual)
  • Outgoing and spontaneous personality
  • Own vehicle and driver’s license
  • Target driven and ability to work independently
  • Develop new business opportunities and extend the current business sales portfolio
