The largest distributor of gold coins in South Africa is looking for a Senior Broker to be based in East Gate, Bedfordview.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
To sell rare coins and medallions within a retail environment, underpinned by strong client service and the relentless pursuit of new business, using the store and resources provided by the Company as well as the incumbents' competency to secure sales.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Sales: Selling coins (rare & krugerrands) and medallions to achieve personal and store targets. Senior sales consultants are expected to sell a minimum of R [amount] per month.
- Client Relationships: Using diagnostic and relationship selling approaches, following the Company's sales process, and building sustainable relationships through regular contact.
- Business Development: Prospecting for new clients via networking, events, research, and referrals.
- Client Portfolio Review: Reviewing clients’ collections to ensure they are balanced and in accordance with Company policies.
- Knowledge Upkeep: Staying informed on product, economic, political, and pricing developments, and mastering new marketing and sales information provided by the Company.
- Transaction Handling: Managing cash, credit cards, bank transfers, and cheques according to policies.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent service during face-to-face, telephonic, and email interactions, including post-sale follow-up.
- Store Operations: Manning the store, ensuring it is open, clean, organized, and reflects the Company’s brand, while adhering to health and safety standards.
- Stock Management: Conducting stock counts, safeguarding stock and cash, and ensuring attractive, accurate displays.
- Administration & Compliance: Filing, capturing CRM data, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
- Asset & Facility Management: Ensuring the safekeeping of company assets and maintaining a tidy store environment.
- Operational Adherence: Following operational policies and procedures, and performing other duties as reasonably expected.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Utilize quiet store times for research, prospecting, updating admin/compliance documents, and reviewing client collections.
