Job summary

A financial services firm in Durban is looking for an experienced accountant to perform a full range of finance functions. You will be responsible for bookkeeping services, VAT returns, and management accounts. The ideal candidate should hold a relevant accounting degree, ACCA or SAIPA articles, and be proficient with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, and Microsoft Office. This role demands excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Relevant Degree in Accounting and completed ACCA / SAIPA articles.
• Experience on accounting software such as Sage, Dext, QuickBooks.
• Excellent mathematical and numeracy skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of finance functions to support clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of finance functions to support clients in meeting their regulatory and statutory obligations
• Providing bookkeeping services on behalf of clients or guiding and training them to manage their own records’
• Duties also include bookkeeping reviews, VAT return preparation and submission and the preparation of management and year-end accounts

Requirements

Relevant Degree in Accounting and completed ACCA / SAIPA articles

Experience on Sage, Dext, QuickBooks and apps which include FreeAgent, Hubdoc is advantageous

Excellent mathematical and numeracy skills, and have strong attention to detail

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Xero
