Job Description: Our client is looking for a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their growing team.
This role requires an expert in Xero who can effectively manage sales invoices, track financials across multiple project sites, and generate insightful reports to aid decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing Sales Invoices: Access and monitor a dedicated email account for incoming sales invoices. Chase missing invoices to ensure complete financial records. Enter all sales invoices into Xero with accuracy and correct categorisation.
- Tracking & Financial Reporting: Apply appropriate tracking categories for invoice line items, ensuring alignment with project sites. Generate and analyse site-specific financial reports using Xero. Ensure project costings are allocated correctly to maintain financial accuracy.
- General Bookkeeping & Support: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Liaise with internal team members to clarify invoice discrepancies. Communicate effectively with external accountants and finance support teams.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping (experience within the construction / landscaping industry is a plus but not essential).
- Expert-level proficiency in Xero, including tracking categories and financial reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
- Ability to manage and organise a high volume of invoices efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with suppliers and accountants.
- Experience working in an offshore / virtual setup for support staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage workload within a 20-hour work week.
