Job summary

Talent Candey Durban is seeking a Senior Bookkeeper to lead the full bookkeeping function in a fast-paced FMCG/retail finance team. Based at the Newlands East Head Office, you will prepare monthly management accounts, financial reporting, fixed assets, inventory and budgeting with strict accuracy.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' proven experience in full bookkeeping.
• Experience in FMCG, fast-food/QSR, or Retail sectors.
• Experience with Sage 50 or Sage 200 accounting systems.
• Strong Excel skills and accounting principles knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full bookkeeping and accounting function.
• Prepare, analyse, and report on monthly management accounts.
• Collate, prepare, and interpret financial reports.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset registers.
• Review accounts payable/receivable and inventory valuation.
• Ensure tax compliance and assist with audits.
• Manage budgets, variance analysis and internal controls.
