Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance (e.g., National Diploma or BCom).
• 7–10 years progressive experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Syspro experience is advantageous.
• Strong grasp of basic accounting principles.
• Experience in debtors management and foreign currency reconciliations.
• Experience in fixed asset maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Execute full-function bookkeeping up to management accounts.
• Oversee end-to-end debtors function and age analysis to maintain healthy cashflow.
• Perform local and foreign currency cashbook reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset register with additions/disposals and quarterly reviews.
• Prepare and update monthly management accounts for leadership.

Thispivotal role offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the financialheart of a well-established manufacturing and retail entity. As a critical support to thefinancial leadership, the successful candidate will ensure the integrity of thegeneral ledger while driving the accuracy of monthly reporting cycles in ahigh-output production environment.

This is anin-office role working hours Monday to Thursday 08h00 – 16h45 and Friday 08h00 –15h30

Key Responsibilities

• Execute full-functionbookkeeping duties, ensuring all financial transactions are accuratelycaptured and reconciled up to the management accounts stage.
  
• Oversee the end-to-enddebtors function, including new account configurations, complex queryresolution, and rigorous review of age analysis to maintain healthy cashflow.
  
• Perform detailed localand foreign currency cashbook reconciliations, ensuring all multi-currencytransactions are accounted for correctly.
  
• Maintain the fixedasset register by processing additions and disposals and conductingcomprehensive quarterly reviews to ensure balance sheet accuracy.
  
• Prepare and updatemonthly management accounts, providing the leadership team with reliabledata for strategic decision-making.
  
• Lead the month-endclosing process, ensuring all journals, accruals, and reconciliations arefinalised within strict manufacturing deadlines.
  

Requirements

• A relevant tertiaryqualification in Accounting or Finance (e.g., National Diploma or BCom) ispreferred
  
• 7–10 years ofprogressive experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
  
• Highly proficient inMicrosoft Excel (Advanced level)
  
• Proficiency in Syspro would be a distinct advantage
  
• A thorough understanding of basic accounting principles is essential
  
• Deep understanding ofdebtors’ management, foreign currency reconciliations, and fixed assetmaintenance.
