Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and proper maintenance of the company's financial records. Provide support for financial reporting and analysis. Assist with compliance and tax support.
Required Role Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry is advantageous.
Role Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable: Receive, verify, and capture supplier invoices. Reconcile ERP with CRM to ensure invoices are captured in the correct accounting period. Reconcile monthly suppliers. Maintain records of all processed invoices and payments. Facilitate payment mandates from Fagron Global.
- Accounts receivable: Capture sales figures on ERP. Reconcile AR / Sales on ERP to CRM monthly. Assist AR controller with the maintenance of customer accounts. Assist with customer inquiries and concerns regarding invoices and payments. Facilitate refund process where necessary. Implement and follow the company's collection policies and procedures to recover outstanding debts. Provide excellent customer service to maintain positive relationships with customers.
- Bookkeeping: Up to trial balance. Maintenance of accounting system. Reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of journals posted. Reconcile VAT transactions. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Month-end and year-end closing processes. Run with the annual audit / review process. Assist with general finance, compliance, and administration tasks. Assist with reporting as necessary. Notify management of any risks identified.
- Inventory Management: Proper bookkeeping of stock and related transactions. Reconcile stock levels on ERP to CRM. Assist with management of stock levels.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (IFRS / GAAP).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This position is based in Northcliff, Randburg, and is open until 26 May. It is a full-time role in the accounting, auditing, administrative, and finance sectors within the pharmaceutical manufacturing and retail pharmacy industries.
