Responsibilities
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and supplier statements.
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable, including client deposits and supplier payments.
  • Process supplier invoices and ensure payments are made within agreed terms.
  • Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage VAT submissions and ensure compliance with SARS regulations.
  • Maintain accurate financial records for tours, commissions, and operational costs.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasting.
  • Liaise with accountants for year-end processing and audits.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical financial filing systems.
  • Manage Payroll submissions.
  • Develop a solid working relationship with Consultants & Administration staff.
  • Work with Company Directors daily to effectively manage financial deadlines and requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience (3+ years preferred).
  • Xero Accounting experience – Essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy.
  • Understanding of South African tax and accounting regulations.
  • Experience in the travel/tourism industry (highly advantageous).
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
